The Isle of Man-based developer Microgaming has announced the launch of a new initiative aimed at establishing a charity for the disabled.

The latest initiative is the part of a much larger community-oriented program called Microgaming Play It Forward, which continues the work of Microgaming Health and Care Trust, founded back in 2002.

About the Charity

The charity has a total of 50 members and 25 volunteers, united in one noble cause – providing the disabled the opportunity to enjoy horse riding and other outdoors activities, which are conducted in a safe environment with the supervision of the personnel.

The activities, which include driving, dressage, cone courses and social days are conducted in partnership with the Manx Carriage Driving 4 Disabled (MCD4D), and with the assistance of RDA Carriage Driving Coach.

Microgaming has provided funds to purchase a new mobile trailer unit, which now offers the MCD4D the ability to offer its services around the island.

A Much Needed Help

The acquisition of the new mobile trailer unit means a lot for the local community since it can be used for other activities, from school shows to various events. The trailer has a mobile classroom and a storage facility which further increases its versatility.

Martin Sewell, MCD4D volunteer fundraiser said the new mobile trailer unit brought a wide array of options. He thanked Microgaming for their generous contribution to this program, emphasizing the fact this wasn’t the first time the company had worked together with MCD4D.

Microgaming donated $5,000 for the purchase of the mobile trailer unit.

As a socially responsible company, Microgaming makes great efforts to help those in need, whenever possible.
